My name is Mary, I am looking for financial assistance for my 22 year old son. He is morbidly obese, he is over 330 lbs, and only 5ft 5in, it may not sound bad but he can barely walk because his knees cannot carry his weight let alone exercise, he has been diagnosed with pre diabetes and the doctors tell him unless he losses@ 100 lbs he will definately get diabetes, My daughter is 25 and smart and beautiful college student who has never been on date because she is ashamed for her body she weighs 225 lbs and for lack of a better term has become a hermit,my mother died from complication from renal failure due to her diabetes, my sons colosterol is sky high and he has sleep apnea, he is too young to have all these medical problems, he has tried every diet there is and he sometimes loses up to 25 lbs but puts it back on again. He tried to get lap band surgery but our insurance will not cover, we even tried filing a petition, but it is an exclusion, he has went to one specialist who will do for out of pocket for 10,000..we do not have that kind of money. I myself am obese as is Rubens sister, I am 50 and have high blood pressure and knee issues, I am more concerned with the future of my children. Can someone please sponser this surgery for them. I want them to live a long healthy life and I am afraid with the surgery that will never happen. A doctor once told my son if he did not lose at least 100 lbs he will have a massage heart attack by the age of 30.
